This build is a compact but high-end residential home. We worked closely with Toa Architects to finetune the finishes and details of this design. 

Here, Jana’s design knowledge was utilised by the client for the colour and interior aspects of the project.  

The site is in a high-density area; therefore, the intention was to create light and elevated views while still retaining privacy. Stand-out design features of the build include lofty ceilings and pop-out windows to maximise space.

Timber sarking was used to create a feature ceiling and feature walls throughout the home and polished concrete floors contributing to the spacious feel.

A curved interior wall inside was the result of Lance and his team’s precision and craftsmanship.

This home was built to be totally supported on the outside – remove each internal wall and it will still stand solidly.

"I have had the pleasure of working with Lance and Jana of Hutton’s Builders since 2015. We have worked together on a range of projects both residential and commercial. Jana was an immense help, carrying out a lot of the interior design from helping narrow down colours to proposing tiles, materials, light fittings, door hardware choices and more. It saved me a lot of time and stress as Jana knew exactly the look I was going for and where to source the materials and items required. Having a designer within the building company able to liaise with Lance, the other builders and organise the subcontractors necessary; ensured that the vision for the space was carried out to the very last detail and a stunning result.
